My thoughts on Jesus and feminism Pt 3

Sin messed things up, Jesus came to restore creation to the original plan.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
To the woman he said,
“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
GENESIS 3:1, 6 & 16

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
Acts 2: 17, 18

  • To show the influential role of the woman, the devil went to the woman, knowing her influence on the man, not because she was stupid or because she likes vain things. If she was stupid, the man was just as stupid for taking it from Adam.
  • Vs 16, The repression and suppression of wives by husbands was a consequence of sin and not the original plan, and even in that, God didn’t say man will rule over women but that Husbands will rule over wives.
  • Jesus died, was buried and resurrected to take us back to the original plan, what the first Adam lost, the second Adam Jesus came to restore.
  • To show our sameness with God, Jesus pours out His Spirit on all mankind that believe; jews, gentiles, sons, daughters, old and young.
