What is Feminism?
The advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.
Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social equality of sexes. This includes seeking to establish educational and professional opportunities for women that are equal to those for men.
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:28 (NIV)
The challenge is to distill truth from the the cultural and ethnic colorations of the writings in the bible.
Culture must submit to the will of God.
To show God’s intent on Gender Equality and Equality of opportunity, let’s go back to the very beginning, the beginning is where we find the perfect will of God for mankind and the world, just before sin came and corrupted mankind.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Genesis 1: 26 - 28.
We see that;
The assignment to take charge of the earth wasn’t given to men alone, there was no gender differentiation in this assignment.
